CONCEPT

  • Contemporary – angular aesthetic.  Use of modern materials – brickwork and render with profiled sheet roofing to maintain the designs clean lines.
  • A series of mono-pitched roofs. Terracing.
  • House constructed on 2 levels due to severe site slope and neighbouring residences to the rear.  Single storey approach, garaging and access and internal South-facing vertical ‘atrium’ circulation.
  • Narrow Lower ground Floor footprint with rear circulation to accommodate back-to-ground layout for Bedrooms.
  • Zero carbon.  Thermally controlled design, integral photovoltaics, air source heat pump, under-floor heating, enhanced thermal performance and airtightness.
  • Orientation and topographically responsive design to take advantage of views, light and encourage privacy.
